Ladder on scaffolding

You’d think that scaffolds (#1 on OSHA’s top 10 violations list) would cause enough problems. But when you toss in fall protection (or lack thereof, #3 on the list) and ladders (#10 on the list), you are multiplying the risk.

I won’t enumerate all of the flubs in this tableau, because there are so many that I’d probably miss some. The fact that the whole contraption isn’t quite horizontal sure seems fitting. I know one thing—I wouldn’t climb on that ladder if they were paying me triple-overtime.

This is the sort of thing that makes a safety professional feel like he is definitely earning his keep. Like the person who sent this to us, who works for an insurance company and was surveying this job site.
