Photo of the Week *200th Issue*
|
||
Regular viewers of this feature will recognize this week’s entry as another chapter in the saga of people who should have bought, borrowed or rented a truck. Unless this guy is heading to his neighbor’s house across the street, this one ranks right up there with such throwing-caution-to-the-winds escapades as Photo #182 (“Battering Ram, In Reverse”), #177 (“The Difference Between Ingenious and Un-Genius”), and #172 (“Duct Tape Is Great, but This Is Ridiculous”). The quandary: big stuff to move, a small amount of resources, and a large amount of faith and imagination. Some of that faith is in rope and knots, both of which are great inventions, but not that great. And that excess of imagination doesn’t seem to extend to worst-case scenarios, such as the fridge toppling off on the road at 30 miles per hour, right in front of some unsuspecting motorist who is suddenly going to have the word “Frigidaire” imprinted on his bumper, if not his forehead. Please, remember the roads are a place that people to share—they aren’t a testing ground for ill-advised stunts. |
