Well, maybe “brave” isn’t the right word. Trusting? Foolhardy? Dumb? Desperate?

This isn’t exactly a luxury apartment building, and many people don’t have the resources to hire a professional electrician or appliance installer. But can’t you at least find a piece of rope to tie around your waist and then lash it to something heavy inside?
